
Mumbai Air Pollution: BMC Unveils 2026 Action Plan, 10 Hotspots Per Ward, Stricter Construction Dust Checks; Worli Records Poorest AQI At 169 On Friday
The Free Press Journal reported that the BMC has drawn up an Air Pollution Control and Enforcement Action Plan-2026 requiring at least 10 hotspots per ward, daily inspections of at least two construction sites and tracking of debris transport. Mumbai's average AQI was 110 on 2 October, with Worli the poorest at 169; only 19 of 30 monitoring stations were operational.
